Transplant Services Sews Up Acquisition

Inc. has bought a 27,782 sf office building.
California Transplant Services Inc. bought the single-tenant, two-story corporate headquarters property at 5845 Owens Avenue from OCI
Partners LLC. Union Bank of California, N.A. Business Banking
Services has provided financing.
Ron Jacobson and John Hoffmann of Colliers International Carlsbad
represented the buyer. Dan Oury and Mark Emrick of Business Real
Estate represented the seller. California Transplant Services, Inc.
is a Non Profit Public Benefit Corporation providing eye and tissue
banking services in the Southern California region.
CTS was began to service hospitals in the Orange County region in
1994 with one employee and one volunteer. CTS now has grown to have
relationships with over 52 eye and tissue banks in the USA and
Canada and ships tissue for transplant and research worldwide.
Since opening on October 4, 1994 CTS has shipped over 10,000
units of transplant tissue to include corneas and sclera for ocular
surgery, bone and tendons for orthopedic surgeries, skin for burn
and trauma patients, and fascia lata for neurological injuries.
Tissues for transplant are obtained from organ and tissue donors at
participating hospitals and medicals centers.
The company relocated its corporate headquarters from
Cardiff-by-the-Sea, California to the larger Carlsbad facility in
November 2001. California Transplant Services, Inc. is an IRS
section 501C(3) non profit public benefit charitable organization. |
